That didn't stop me from teaching myself Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and working with WordPress. Just to try to taste the field.
From there I did anything and everything, I would talk to businesses that I thought had "ugly" logos and offer to fix them for free. Most people declined, as what logo can a 16 year old do that's better than the one they probably paid too much for...
Sadly, I had to give up on the design dream to become an engineer. My bachelor, however, has "Design" in it's name, so I still get to do some very light design here and there.
